People have just realised they’ve been untying their shoelaces wrong

YOU probably haven't thought much about tying and untying your shoes since you were a small child.

But according to one man you've been doing it wrong for years - and even tricky double knots are easy to undo with this method.

Posting on Instagram, Sidney Raz shared the hack, and it's left him and thousands of others mind blown.

"Here's something I didn't know until I was in my 30s," he confessed before showing off the untying trick.

It turns out you can simple pull on the ends of each show lace to untie the laces, even with double knots.

Sidney demonstrated the trick on a pair of his own trainers, showing the tight knot and then lightly pulling on each end to unravel it.

Sure enough, the knot cam undone right away - none of the annoying picking apart the knot to take your shoes off.

After sharing the trick on social media people were amazed they didn't try the trick sooner, but others weren't so sure the trainers were double knotted in the first place.

One commented on the clip: " That's not a double knot that's a normal bow knot?"

A second agreed: "That looks like a regular knot to me, so easy to untie."

Meanwhile, others loved the hack, one wrote: "When I found this out it really was life changing."

Another said: "his is the first one in a long time that has REALLY annoyed me. HOOOWWWW DID I NOT KNOW?!?!?!!!"

"I also had absolutely no idea," someone else confessed.

And another commented: "Yeah, I've been doing this all my life. Thought everyone did them that way."
